National Day Celebration, OXI day 2026

Commemorating Courage, Resilience and Peace
On this day, we remember Greece's courageous refusal to surrender and the determination of the Greek people who stood against the Axis powers during the Second World War. The Έπος του ’40 remains a proud chapter of Greek history, a testament to the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who defended their homeland and their freedom. As we honor their memory, we also reflect on the human cost of war and our shared hope that future generations will never have to face such sacrifices again.
Bringing our history to the next generation
Through poems and children's activities, we hope to bring this history closer to our younger generations, helping them connect with their heritage and understand the values of courage, freedom and peace. Above all, this is an opportunity for our community to come together remember our history and pass its meaning on to our children.
Everyone is welcome!
The event is open to the entire Greek community, not only members of the Hellenic Association. We encourage families to join us, bring their children and share in this occasion. We would like to invite you to register promptly as it will help us plan the event in the best way possible
